MicroAlgae: Harvesting light in diverse ecosystems

How unexpected events interrupt cognition

The figure's title, "The road to 2 degrees celsius is steep; the road to 1.5 degrees is a cliff." is followed by a caption and a line graph charting carbon mitigation curves for a greater than 50% change of staying below 2 degrees of warming. Mitigation beginning in 2022 is highlighted, and additional contextual information is provided about the impacts of delaying mitigation and what would have happened if mitigation had begun in 2000. An inset shows a similar graph for 1.5 degrees of warming; the curves on that graph are much steeper. — Data & Diagrams
