NOAA Restoration PROJECT Monitoring Form

An open laptop sits on a desk. On screen is a digital version of the NOAA Restoration Center post project monitoring form.

NOAA’s Restoration Center works with local, regional, and national partners to help open rivers for fish migration. During my time as a NOAA Contractor, the Center was working to streamline reporting for projects they funded. I helped redesign various forms to move from unruly Word documents to cleaner, more user-friendly PDF versions that could also be imported directly into a database for easier access by administrators.

In addition to making the documents easier to read, the form setup streamlined inputs so that they were easier for grantees to fill out, and provided more consistent data (e.g. names of watersheds were pre-loaded to avoid spelling errors, etc.). The final documents were clear, concise, user-friendly, and adhered to the existing NOAA branding.
